I booked at their website. The only reason I can think of why their rate has increased, becoz of the season- (1) Olympics, (2) Christmas. When I booked at their hotel it was around late June. Hotel rates are so high now because of the Holidays. Usually, they increase their rates during Christmas Season. Even hostels doubled their rates. I suggest that you wait till Jan or Feb next year.
